Singing is from the nature of women, not men.Shaykh Abu Hamza Hassan bin Muhammed Ba Shu'ayb

🔹Question:

Is it true that the Salaf used to label male singers as Mukhanath (Feminine)?

If so, why is it that they’re described with this wording?

🔸Answer:

Shaykh Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, may Allah have mercy on him, said:

The fact that; singing, beating the duff, and clapping, were actions acknowledged to be that of women. The Salaf would then describe men who perform these actions as effeminate and they would label the men who used to sing as Maghaneeth (Feminine men). And this was well known in their statements.
