Our Shaykh, Muhammad ibn Hizām -may Allāh preserve him- was asked the following question:

A woman suffers from severe vision impairment and pregnancy causes her condition to worsen. She is now pregnant and currently in her first month of pregnancy, and she fears her vision will be further impaired. Is it permissible for her to have an abortion due to this?

:memo: Answer:
Answer:

She must consult specialist doctors who have experience concerning this; and if they prescribe a treatment which will preserve her eyesight, it is not permissible for her to abort the fetus, and in sha Allah she will find someone who will be able to treat/alleviate her condition. However, if all the specialists conclude that this will affect her eyesight, she is allowed to have an abortion.

The Prophet ﷺ said:
((لا ضرر ولا ضرار))
"There should be neither harm nor reciprocating harm"

And Allah ﷻ said:
{یُرِیدُ ٱللَّهُ بِكُمُ ٱلۡیُسۡرَ وَلَا یُرِیدُ بِكُمُ ٱلۡعُسۡرَ}
"Allah intends ease for you, not hardship."
[Surat Al-Baqarah 185]

And He ﷻ said:
{وَمَا جَعَلَ عَلَیۡكُمۡ فِی ٱلدِّینِ مِنۡ حَرَجࣲۚ}
"He has placed no hardship in your religion."
[Surat Al-Hajj 78]

This is if the soul has yet to be blown into the fetus, but if the soul has already been blown into the fetus (i.e. After 120 days), then it's not permissible for her to have an abortion whatever the case, even if it results in blindness, because she would be taking an innocent soul without right, and Allah's aid is sought.
